Mission Statement:
The mission of the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities is:
- To enable cities and towns to do together what they cannot do as well by themselves
- To meet the evolving needs of local governments and their elected and appointed officials
- To effectively advocate municipal interests in the legislature, the executive branch, and other forums
- To promote progressive, responsive, effective, and efficient local government.
In carrying out its mission, CCM:
- develops and advances in a non-partisan manner public policies that strengthen local governments and their ability to serve their residents and businesses
- relies upon and draws its strength from the active participation, expertise, creativity, and cooperation of loc al government officials throughout Connecticut
- advocates regional, intermunicipal, and intergovernmental cooperation
- provides effective forums for the interchange of ideas and experience
- disseminates information that is accurate, relevant, and objective
- delivers high-quality programs, products, and services
- strives to ascertain, anticipate, and be responsive to the needs of member towns and cities and their officials
- works closely with a wide range of other organizations and individuals in the state and federal governments and in the private non-profit and for-profit sectors
- is committed to the observance of the highest standards of quality, ethical behavior, and customer satisfaction.
