The Connecticut Interlocal Risk Management Agency (CIRMA) is the largest and most experienced municipal insurer in Connecticut today. CIRMA has been a service program of the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM) since 1980. It is owned and governed by its members. Members set CIRMA’s core values, guide CIRMA’s strategic direction, and drive the development of services.

CIRMA operates two risk management pools, the Workers’ Compensation and the Liability-Automobile-Property pool, that provide high quality, affordable coverage for municipalities, schools, and local public entities.

CIRMA’s Risk Management services provide comprehensive consulting services, risk management workshops, and an extensive media library to its members.

Heart & Hypertension services save members hundreds of thousands of dollars by efficiently tracking and managing these claims.

CIRMA also offers cost-effective and results-oriented services to self-insured municipalities.
