The Connecticut General Assembly seeks a dynamic IT professional to lead the department. This role services 400 employees and 187 legislators. In addition to leading a team of 25 IT professionals the Director is part of a forward-thinking management team, who work in an exciting environment in the heart of Connecticut’s Capitol building. General Knowledge: Management experience should include applications development, Intel-based virtual server operations, utilization of the full range of Microsoft products and Internet/Intranet development and support. Some experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft Finance and HR systems desired. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Should be able to provide excellent customer service to non-technical internal customers on their IT needs.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of experience in Information Technology in a full-service IT environment with at least three (3) years in a senior management capacity. This experience must include demonstrated responsibility for production support and equipment operations, departmental budgetary development and oversight, and variable-range strategic planning and execution.
