The Connecticut Interlocal Risk Management Agency (CIRMA), located on Long Wharf Drive in New Haven, CT, overlooking scenic Long Island Sound, is a Public Entity Risk Pool with expertise in the complex world of municipal risk management. Over the past 38 years, CIRMA has been the premier market in providing Workers’ Compensation and Liability-Auto-Property insurance, along with our outstanding Risk Management Services, to Connecticut’s towns, schools, and local public agencies where you learn, work, live and play.

As a Workers’ Compensation Claims Assistant, you will be providing administrative and technical support for the Workers’ Compensation claim representatives and manager of the unit. Relieve claim representatives and manager of standardized, repetitive or non-technical processes incumbent to the process of handling WC claims. Also provide front desk coverage as needed.

  • High school diploma required.
  • Previous office experience or equivalent a must.
  • Workers compensation claims experience desirable but not necessary if the right candidate.
  • Willingness to learn new technology.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a flexible attitude.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work with competing deadlines.
  • Must be team oriented and willing to roll up sleeves in a fast-paced environment.
  • Microsoft Office a plus.
