The Town of East Hampton is seeking a candidate to fill the full-time position of Assessor. The Assessor is responsible for planning, organizing and performing technical appraisals of taxable property within the Town of East Hampton and preparing the Town’s Grand List in accordance with state statutes. In addition, the Assessor is responsible for the day to day operations of staff, maintaining property ownerships, valuations and exemption records and assisting in appraisal work and review of final results.
This is a bargaining unit position.

Certification of C.C.M.A designation. A four (4) year college degree in Business Administration or related field and over three (3) years of progressively responsible appraisal and municipal assessment and supervisory experience preferred.

Salary: $62,893.48-$73,992.32 depending upon qualifications and experience, plus benefit package.
