The Borough of Naugatuck currently has an immediate need for an Assistant Building Inspector with the knowledge and ability to assist the Building Inspector with the effective operations of the Borough’s Building Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Building Inspector in the enforcement of state and local building codes and enforcement of zoning ordinances in connection with residential and commercial building construction. Position requires technical knowledge of the building construction trade and the general knowledge of the quality and strength of building materials and accepted requirements of building construction.

  • Candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of five (5) years practical experience in general building construction.
  • Must possess an Assistant Building Official License from the State of Connecticut.
  • Must possess a valid CT driver’s license.
  • Mechanical and Plumbing background preferred.
