The Naugatuck Fire Department has an immediate opportunity for an individual with proven experience in enforcing all sections of the Connecticut Fire Safety Codes, relevant local codes and ordinances and to assume the position of Fire Marshal as required.

A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Deputy Fire Marshal in a comparable municipality. • CT Certification as Firefighter I or higher. • Must possess a valid CT Fire Marshal Certification. • Experience inspecting residential and commercial structures is essential. • Must possess proven knowledge and experience with building and fire code plan reviews. • Be up-to-date on Continuing Education Units (CEU’s). • Residence within a twenty-five (25) minute response time is required.
