This work involves inspection, enforcement and plan review duties in assisting the Chief Building Official in securing compliance with municipal ordinances and state laws. This position involves inspecting electrical installations and examining new and old structures for safety and conformity with various state and local codes. Work is performed independently in the field and decision made requiring technical discretion and judgment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Inspectors must be a high school or equivalent graduate with greater than three (3) years employment in building construction, architecture, civil engineering, or allied field. Applicant must hold and maintain both Connecticut Electrical Contractor’s license (E1) and State of Connecticut Electrical Inspector’s license.

SALARY: Grade 10 ~ $36.02 ~ *Salary and benefits are currently under bargaining unit negotiations.
