Under the general direction of the Director of Operations, directs and manages the overall maintenance, rehabilitation and repurposing of all City-owned facilities, buildings and grounds including all park and recreation facilities. Performs the duties of the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation as described in Section C5-30-5 of the City Code. Serves the City’s liaison with not-for-profit agencies concerning recreational facilities, grounds and programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration or a closely related field and at least six (6) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in finance, project and construction management or a related field; two (2) of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity. NOTE: A Master’s Degree in Business or Public Administration or a closely related field may substitute for one year of administrative experience.

SCOPE OF EXAMINATION: There will not be a written examination. Qualified applicants will be ranked according to their education, training and experience. Applicants are required to fully complete the application form and supplement, listing all related degrees, training and work experience.
