The Town of Stonington is seeking qualified candidates for Director of Assessment. This is a highly responsible technical and administrative position involving planning, organizing, directing and performing the function of the Dept. of Assessment. Work involves responsibility for discovering, measuring and listing all taxable real estate, business, personal property and motor vehicles within the Town for the purpose of establishing uniform and equitable valuations for taxation.

The ideal candidate will possess the education, experience and training required with a Bachelor’s degree in business, acctg., real estate or related field and 8 years of progressively responsible experience in real and personal property appraisal work. Certified Connecticut Municipal Assessor, I & II is required.

This is a full-time 35 hrs/wk. Non-Union position w/benefits. Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000.
